Sales insurance agents?

i have an interview with liberty national insurance agency for a sales agent position. it stated that they pay salary plus commission.

1. i heard that insurance agents are paid by commission. if your sales are really slow, or non-existant, how will you get $$$$$$?

The reason they give you salary plus commission is to give you a chance to build up your "book of business". Eventually you will have enough clients so that you will also be earning renewals from your past sales.

The insurance business is not an easy one. In the beginning especially, you will be working long hours and will be constantly on the phone. In my talking with agents from different companies, Liberty Mutual is not the best or easiest company to work for.

I wish you luck with your endeavor. If you'd like any advice or other information, feel free to email me here.
Good question??
i just saved 15% on my car insurance by switching to Geico!

godspeed
I have been in insurance for 3 yrs. You will get a base salary until you can build your book of business. Insurance is about building relationships, rember people are not concerned about what you know, they are concerned about how much you care.
