My father came to US and he got stroke (His 3rd stroke), he was admitted to the hospital . He had travel insurance, insurance company rejected all the claims as it was pre existing condition and the amount of rejection is $100,000.
Do any body have any suggestions or came across any such scenarios.
No, when he took the policy out, he should have been told, signed something, or the policy he received stated pre-existing conditions are excluded. His best option is to contact the hospital and negotiate a lower price for the visit and a payment schedule he can afford.
Negotiate the hospital bills.
But for future security, get a program that does not exclude your father because of pre-existing conditions.
